SiteMinder’s recent research surveyed over 700 hoteliers across 11 markets to uncover a critical issue: the “response gap” – the revenue lost when hotels can’t act quickly enough on market opportunities.

For large hotel brands with 100+ rooms, the findings reveal both advantages and surprising challenges. 

While these properties outperform smaller hotels in some areas, significant revenue opportunities remain untapped. Key findings for large properties include:

  • 63% recognise speed-to-market as business critical (vs 58% globally)
  • Data visibility gaps remain the #1 barrier to capturing demand (25% vs 14% globally)
  • 51% spend 11-20 hours weekly on manual system tasks despite having more resources
