Leading online accommodation distributor, SiteMinder, has added multi-lingual functionality to its direct commission free booking engine product, ‘TheBookingButton’, to help its hotel clients reach new international markets.
SiteMinder Partnerships Manager, Duncan Waterman, said the internationalisation of TheBookingButton would help make hotels ‘more local’ in many countries and accessible to a much wider booking audience. “By coupling TheBookingButton’s multi-currency capabilities with the new multi-lingual functionality, properties have a cutting edge booking engine which communicates with a large percentage of the worlds booking audience,” said Mr Waterman.
SiteMinder’s highly popular BookingButton is used by hotels on their own websites as a direct, commission-free booking engine. Launched in 2008, TheBookingButton is currently used in over 60 countries and has taken over $350 million worth of commission-free bookings, reducing acquisition costs for some hotels by up to 40% from online bookings. The fully customisable BookingButton allows hotels to package rooms to include extras such as breakfast, late checkout and tours to provide a value-add to every room sale.
“Our upgrade of TheBookingButton aims to deliver to hotels a fast, easy-to-use booking engine that can convert website traffic from any country into confirmed bookings.”
