Bangkok, Thailand – Anantara, one of Southeast Asia’s most recognized luxury hotel brands and part of Thailand-based Minor Hotel Group, has chosen to use SiteMinder’s enterprise distribution technology, The Channel Manager to connect their Opera Central Reservation System (CRS) and IDeaS Revenue Management System (RMS) with hundreds of online booking sites. These new systems connections will result in increased revenue and a reduction in operating costs.
Currently with 24 hotels and resorts across six countries and growing rapidly, Anantara was looking for a solution that would seamlessly connect their core systems with the online booking world whilst finding a platform that provided performance visibility across the group.
Marcos Cadena, Group Director Electronic Distribution & E-commerce at Minor Hotel Group, said “This level of integration gives us a greater degree of independence and time for our e-commerce and revenue managers to move their focus from managing systems to managing strategies and to concentrate on the tasks that provide us the highest revenue”.
SiteMinder’s Channel Manager was selected due to its extensive history of robust technology and two-way integrations with multiple systems, notably Opera and IDeaS. The functionality of the dashboard within the platform was a major selling point, offering complete visibility and a comprehensive summary of their online performance to help further enhance business processes.
SiteMinder’s Head of Sales in Asia, Kevin Tatem said, “The opportunity to work with Minor Hotel Group and the well-known Anantara brand is one of the most exciting projects I have been involved in. Together we will continue to expand distribution of their iconic brand around the world.”
Minor Hotel Group has plans to extend the updated systems connections to include additional brands from their portfolio, including AVANI and Per AQUUM, in 2014.
