SiteMinder's new head office
Sydney, Australia – SiteMinder, the global hotel industry’s leading guest acquisition platform, will relocate its head office to Millers Point in June next year, to cater for continued high growth and a rapidly-increasing staff count. The new site, a converted heritage wool-store-turned-office-property on Windmill Street, will welcome around 400 employees in a 3,687 square metre space, with an initial lease signed for six years. The move is designed to accommodate for both the company’s existing teams and ambitious growth plans, which include expanding the size of its local engineering team.

In the last three years, SiteMinder’s staff have grown 65 per cent to more than 800 employees worldwide, half of whom are currently spread across three office locations in Sydney’s The Rocks district and CBD. SiteMinder, which recently achieved the elusive AU$100 million annual recurring revenue milestone, today employs one of the largest engineering teams in the Sydney technology community, as well as sizeable HR, marketing, sales, product, finance and customer teams to support a customer base of more than 35,000 hotels globally.

“The beautiful space on Windmill Street will help us to continue as one of the largest global technology companies to emerge from Australia, and showcase our commitment to continue employing world-class talent, especially within the technical field of software engineering. The layout of the building was also important in our considerations. With internal staircases connecting the four levels, breakout spaces and quiet pods, the physical attributes suit SiteMinder’s brand essence and culture of openness well,” says Sankar Narayan, SiteMinder’s Chief Executive Officer.

Positioned a 500-metre stroll from SiteMinder’s current headquarters in The Rocks and only moments from Barangaroo Reserve, the uplifting contemporary design of SiteMinder’s new office space is brimming with natural light and boasts exposed beams, original hardwood floors and the charming period detail for which the area is renowned.

Traditionally a home for the world’s top creative agencies, Walsh Bay and Millers Point are set to evolve rapidly in coming years off the back of the Barangaroo precinct, the redevelopment of the historic harbourside wharves and a AU$200 million arts quarter, opening in 2020.
