Online hotel distributor, SiteMinder, has launched a connection with a major international hotel booking site, HolidayCity.com, broadening the market reach for accommodation providers throughout the globe who use SiteMinder’s technology to link them to online reservation websites around the world.

SiteMinder’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing Gary Fog, said the addition of HolidayCity.com to its expanding list of major international booking sites would generate more exposure and business for SiteMinder’s hotel customers particularly in Asia, where HolidayCity.com is one of the top online booking platforms.

“HolidayCity.com offers SiteMinder’s customers exposure to a major new distribution channel focused on the Asian market,” Mr Fog said. “As an online channel manager for hotels, SiteMinder is expanding quickly which means we are now putting our customers’ hotel rooms in front of more and more consumers every month and this new connection with HolidayCity.com certainly does that.”

HolidayCity.com Chief Executive Officer, Lee Lai Huat, said: “We’re looking forward to an exciting and mutually rewarding partnership with SiteMinder. Hotels using SiteMinder can expect to reach a wider global audience and generate more bookings via HolidayCity.com. We offer a strong market reach that is particularly advantageous during these challenging economic times. Working with SiteMinder also enables HolidayCity.com to establish relationship with new hotel partners and provides an excellent platform for growth.”

Mr Fog said SiteMinder’s leading technology enabled any hotel anywhere to be listed on dozens of international booking sites like HolidayCity.com as well as Expedia, Wotif, Booking.com, Agoda and many others. “We help accommodation providers manage their room availability and pricing across a multitude of online booking sites from a single, easy-to-use web page,” he said. “SiteMinder also automatically captures bookings and drops them back directly into hotels’ reservation systems. This seamless, two-way integration slashes man hours and red tape and eliminates the need to manually re-key booking site reservation emails and faxes so it’s a great cost and time saver. And we don’t charge commission or lock clients into contracts which are other cost savers for hotels.”
