SiteMinder’s RDX to Power New Channel Manager for hetras

SiteMinder’s Room Distribution Exchange (RDX) platform will power a new channel management service being offered by major German hotel software provider, hetras, as part of a distribution partnership signed between the two companies.

The announcement, made by SiteMinder at the world’s largest tourism convention, ITB Berlin (March 6-10, 2013), means hetras, which offers cloud-based hotel reservation and management products, will now be able to link accommodation providers to hundreds of online travel agencies around the world, providing a one-stop-shop software service for hoteliers.

SiteMinder’s Head of Sales for Northern Europe, Cassian Silins, said: “For PMS and CRS vendors like hetras, offering hotel customers two-way connectivity with booking channels is vital in an increasingly competitive market. RDX eliminates the inherent complexity involved in building and maintaining multiple channel connections for PMS and CRS vendors. By turning distribution into a commodity item, RDX has allowed hetras to simply ‘plug’ into the RDX platform and gain not only direct connections with hundreds of the world’s leading sites, but also their own completely branded and supportable distribution product.”
