More New Senior Appointments for UK Office
Business for global online distributor, SiteMinder has jumped almost five-fold in Europe this year, with the company announcing two more senior appointments based in its London offices to meet the accommodation industry’s growing demand for software that supports the online booking boom.
Bringing a wealth of hotel technology domain experience to the company, Erik Munoz joins SiteMinder in the capacity of Executive Director, Sales and Marketing – EMEA and the Americas, after a successful role with leading revenue management technology company, IDeaS. Joining Erik at SiteMinder is Alex Barros, previously with Hospitality Marketing Concepts a leading hospitality loyalty provider that owns VOILÀ Hotel Rewards.
Alex will head business growth in southern Europe and LATAM as SiteMinder continues to expand the geographic footprint of the product set.
“Given the rapid uptake of SiteMinder’s leading distribution technology by European hoteliers, these two high-calibre senior appointments could not have come at a better time. We anticipate large scale growth in our European and US business as more hotels and reservation system providers seek the technology they need to maximise online revenue and streamline costs – we intend on meeting that demand with the highest quality, most knowledgeable staff that we can find,” says Mike Ford, Managing Director of SiteMinder.
Since launching in 2006, SiteMinder has quickly expanded onto the global stage, connecting thousands of hotels around the world and hotel reservation systems with the world’s major booking websites, social media channels and GDS.
“Our industry-leading product suite is helping a growing number of operators extend their sales and distribution reach, with a resulting increase in guests walking through their doors. As the latest senior members of our EMEA team, Erik and Alex will help us capitalise on our continued growth in international markets as SiteMinder builds its standing as one of the most effective and powerful distribution platforms on the market,” Mr Ford said.
