GCH Hotel Group selects SiteMinder

London, UKGCH Hotel Group (formerly Grand City Hotels), one of the leading hotel management companies in Europe, has selected SiteMinder’s enterprise distribution technology, The Channel Manager, to provide seamless, robust two-way integrations between multiple booking channels and its hotel management system, Opera by MICROS-Fidelio, for more than 80 of its hotels.

The decision – taken after running extensive trials with several competing products – further embeds SiteMinder as ‘best in class’ in the distribution space and will allow GCH Hotel Group to dramatically increase revenues and online exposure globally, whilst reducing the cost of distribution due to SiteMinder’s unique flat monthly fee model.

“This partnership represents a meeting of two innovative, rapidly growing brands in the heart of Europe,” said Bernd Mauritz, Revenue Systems & Project Manager at GCH Hotel Group.

“After a competitive review of the world’s leading channel management systems, we chose SiteMinder’s Channel Manager as the product that could provide us with an unmatched competitive edge. It is business critical in today’s rapidly changing distribution landscape to have disparate systems connected via a robust and reliable platform. We are pleased to launch this partnership and look forward to great results.”

The addition of GCH Hotel Group’s properties continues the rapid adoption of SiteMinder’s Channel Manager solution worldwide. The Channel Manager is now used in more than 13,500 hotels, encompassing hundreds of thousands of rooms in more than 137 countries around the globe.

Bernhard Ballin, SiteMinder’s Director of Sales in Northern Europe, has welcomed the agreement, saying, “GCH Hotel Group is a market leader, which has unified multiple brands to give them the most efficient, cost-effective distribution across key markets in Europe. We are proud that after a thorough due diligence process, GCH Hotel Group selected SiteMinder as its distribution partner. We look forward to working with them and helping them achieve continued growth and success.”
