Rapidly increasing levels of online travel bookings in Indonesia have led to one of the country’s major online travel agents, GoIndonesia.com, joining SiteMinder’s new Room Distribution Exchange (RDX) platform to gain faster and direct access to hotel reservation systems. RDX is the first connectivity platform GoIndonesia.com has chosen to connect with.
SiteMinder’s Partnerships Manager, Duncan Waterman, said GoIndonesia.com’s new connection with RDX would enable the rapidly expanding reservations site to connect directly with major PMS and CRS systems, meaning hotels can easily manage their distribution to GoIndonesia.com.
“Booking sites like GoIndonesia.com face many connectivity challenges from rate and inventory parity and access to new properties to the fees associated with buying rates and availability from expensive platforms,” Mr Waterman said. “RDX eliminates the gap and complexity between OTAs and hotel reservation systems, allowing reservation sites like GoIndonesia.com to offer competitive rates with more hotels at more destinations to support the growing travel boom in Asia.”
GoIndonesia.com will be able to directly contract with ease the hotel clients of the many technology companies that use RDX to power their distribution products, including SiteMinder’s own Channel Manager.
Commenting on the partnership with SiteMinder’s RDX, GoIndonesia.com Managing Director Yusuf IJsseldijk said: “Our connection with RDX means GoIndonesia.com will be the first online travel agent in Indonesia able to offer live hotel inventory from Indonesia’s largest hotel management companies such as Aston International and Tauzia. The Indonesian market is rapidly starting to book hotels online and competition for this lucrative market is heating up fast. Inventory management is the key to success which is why this RDX connection was a priority for us. The connection will also provide us access to hotel inventory in key overseas destinations, which we will start promoting soon.”
GoIndonesia.com is a major online travel agent in Indonesia featuring properties in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore as well as across Indonesia including Bali. GoIndonesia.com is a member of the Kaha Group, one of Indonesia’s leading tour and travel companies.
