Leading hotel management group, Mirvac Hotels & Resorts, has signed with expanding international channel manager, SiteMinder, to seamlessly connect its Opera Central Reservation System (CRS) to major, global, online distribution channels.
The link with SiteMinder’s channel management system will allow Mirvac’s 47 hotels and resorts across Australia and in New Zealand to boost bookings on dozens of accommodation booking sites within its own markets and overseas.
SiteMinder will provide a connector between Mirvac’s Opera Central Reservation System and third party hotel booking sites around the world including Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif, Booking.com and Agoda with reservations from all booking channels automatically and instantly captured into Mirvac’s Opera Central Reservation system.
SiteMinder’s Managing Director Mike Ford said: “We are pleased to provide this leading edge technology to Mirvac to ensure the availability and pricing for thousands of room nights can be distributed instantly and automatically to the top booking websites around the world.
“Our solid interface with the Opera CRS means SiteMinder will also automatically adjust all Mirvac’s online inventory every time a reservation is made on the various booking sites. In addition, reservations from all channels are seamlessly delivered by the SiteMinder system to Mirvac’s Opera Central Reservation System. SiteMinder is one of the very few technologies available globally that has this capability,” Mr Ford said.
Mirvac Hotels & Resorts Central Systems Manager, Mr Andrew Smith said: “The link with SiteMinder is a win-win situation for Mirvac as it will yield substantial efficiencies for our group by helping to streamline our online distribution and achieve reduced turnaround times for reservation processing across all the booking sites. We have enjoyed a very professional relationship with SiteMinder and are delighted that the implementation of this major project will bolster our online distribution.”
