Online booking revenue for SERENATA Hotels and Resorts’ properties in Thailand has doubled since the
group deployed SiteMinder’s flat-fee Channel Manager in May, 2012, to sell its rooms on the world’s major
online booking sites.
Ten boutique lodges, resorts and hotels owned by SERENATA across Thailand are now using SiteMinder’s
Channel Manager to connect them to leading online markets, with web-based booking revenue doubling since
the distribution partnership with SiteMinder was forged in May, 2012. More SERENATA properties are
scheduled to come online with SiteMinder soon.
SiteMinder’s Head of Sales in Asia, Kevin Tatem, said: “The Channel Manager’s true pooled inventory model,
where all rooms are distributed across all sites, has given SERENATA optimum online booking potential and
led to an impressive rise in online revenue.
“Pooled inventory is a vital strategy for hotels to adopt in today’s increasingly competitive distribution
landscape,” Mr Tatem said. “By using a Channel Manager with true pooled inventory, hotels quickly and
easily give themselves the best chance of being booked – and when a room is booked, the SiteMinder Channel
Manager automatically reduces SERENATA’S inventory across all sites, nullifying the risk of over bookings
– all while saving their staff valuable time and allowing them to focus on more valuable activities than room
allotment management.
“SERENATA’s properties across Thailand are stylish and distinctive and it’s rewarding to see more tourists
staying at these places thanks to SiteMinder’s market-leading Channel Manager which bolstered the group’s
online presence and made it easier and quicker for them to distribute their rooms to multiple online booking
sites,” Mr Tatem said.
”Efficient online distribution is the key to success for hotels today and we are delighted SiteMinder has been
able to facilitate such an impressive rise in business for SERENATA.”
The Group Marketing and Brand Director for SERENATA Hotels and Resorts, Chatchawan Soorangura, said:
“SiteMinder’s Channel Manager is fast and easy to use, significantly reducing the time it takes us to manage
room allotment. This has freed up our time to focus on further enhancing the experience for guests when they
arrive at one of our hotels or resorts in Thailand.”
The SERENATA Hotels and Resorts Group owns 15 boutique hotels and resorts in Thailand at nine major
tourist destinations – Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Koh Chang, Koh Yao Island in Phang Nga,
Lampang, Pai, River Kwai in Kanchanaburi and Sukhothai.
