SiteMinder’s RDX solution to Lift Profile of Exclusive Asian Retreats

  Posted in Press Releases

The recently launched portfolio of boutique properties across Asia – Secret Retreats Hotels – has begun using the fully-integrated solution Room Distribution Exchange (RDX), powered by global online distributor SiteMinder.

Based in Singapore and boasting 37 properties, the management team at Secret Retreats have selected to plug into SiteMinder’s RDX platform, which will provide their properties with a fully-integrated, two-way channel manager. In addition Secret Retreats have also invested in SiteMinder’s commission-free booking engine, TheBookingButton. Together, the platforms will help expand the group’s online presence while taking reservations directly from their respective websites.

The head of Sales and Reservations for Secret Retreats, Sophie Couturier, said the new partnership with SiteMinder’s RDX platform would improve operational efficiency in an increasingly competitive marketplace. “SiteMinder’s Channel Manager has allowed our properties, some of which are small and remote, to lift their profiles internationally,” Ms Couturier said.

SiteMinder’s Sales and Marketing Director in Asia, Glenn Andrews, said SiteMinder’s market-leading technology would help open new markets and provide a greater reach for Secret Retreats.

“Our powerful and seamless The Channel Manager will connect Secrets Retreats to the world’s major, high-yielding booking platforms while our direct reservations system, TheBookingButton, which is easy for consumers to use and integrates with the Channel Manager, will further fuel sales for the group,” Mr Andrews said.

Mr Andrews said SiteMinder’s pooled inventory system would ensure all of Secret Retreats’ online inventory was distributed across key online booking sites, with reservations from all channels automatically delivered back to the group, with the Channel Manager adjusting availability in the process, saving hours of manual labour.

“One Secret Retreats property – Villa Samadhi in Kuala Lumpur – has reported that SiteMinder has helped the resort achieve a 30 per cent increase in revenue over the past four months, which is a very satisfying result for them and us. We look forward to working alongside Secret Retreats and all its exclusive hotels to help the company grow and prosper.” Mr Andrews said.
