Let’s meet this year’s judges, who will be overseeing the Excellence awards; Innovation Partner of the Year, Breakthrough Partner of the Year, and Revenue Partner of the Year.
Here are the introductions and what being a judge means to each of them.
2024 SiteMinder Partner Awards Judges
Annemarie Gubanski, Founder, Taktikon AB
Annemarie has extensive experience in revenue management, digital marketing and distribution within the hospitality industry.
She is the founder of Taktikon AB, which is one of the main revenue management consultancies in Europe offering revenue management and digital marketing outsourcing as well as tech stack audits.
What made you want to become a judge of the 2024 SiteMinder Partner Awards?
“I believe the industry needs to recognise the companies (and people) that dare to think differently and dare to be more creative, original and forward thinking. I was therefore impressed with the categories which SiteMinder has chosen.”
What are you looking forward to when it comes to judging?
“I want to see that the exceptional performance really came from creative thinking.”
Daniel Segerblom, Head of Revenue Optimization & Customer Success, Diamo
Daniel is a seasoned revenue management and commercial strategy expert with over 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry. At Diamo, he leads the revenue success team, helps drive product innovation, and plays a key role in shaping the company’s future following its recent spin-off from Life House, where he served as VP of Hotel Commercial Performance.
Prior to Life House, Daniel held a leadership role at Ennismore, managing global hotel openings within the revenue management discipline. With a focus on independent and lifestyle hotels, he brings deep expertise across various hotel technology ecosystems.
He holds a business degree from Chapman University and is based in Los Angeles, CA. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys getting outdoors for activities like surfing, boating, or simply relaxing by the beach.
What made you want to become a judge of the 2024 SiteMinder Partner Awards?
“Given the critical role that technology plays in the success of modern hotels, and with so many innovative solutions available in the market, I was excited to join the 2024 SiteMinder Partner Awards as a judge to help recognize and elevate standout products that truly make a difference. I’m looking forward to contributing my experience by identifying the best solutions and helping hotel managers across disciplines choose the tools that will have the greatest positive impact.”
What are you looking forward to when it comes to judging?
James Bishop, Vice President, Ecosystem and Strategic Partnerships, SiteMinder
Having begun his career at the UK’s Elite Hotels Group, James Bishop understands intimately the day-to-day challenges involved with managing and marketing a hospitality business. In 2002, he transitioned into the dynamic space of hotel technology, working initially as a business development manager with SoftBrands Europe Ltd (now part of the Infor) before taking on roles at Xn protel Systems and Acorn Hospitality Systems Ltd.
Today, James plays an instrumental role at SiteMinder, the name behind the only software platform that unlocks the full revenue potential of hotels, living out his passion for providing technology that empowers both hoteliers and technology innovators alike to find success online. Having led the diverse EMEA region’s sales team for many years, James now works with SiteMinder’s ever-expanding global Connected Ecosystem portfolio to drive efficiencies through connectivity for hotels worldwide.
What excites you about this year’s awards?
“As a SiteMinder employee, I’ve been a big fan of the annual partner awards since they began. I’ve enjoyed seeing the innovation and commitment to our industry from so many partners over the years. The global technology industry is in a period where we’re able to move fast and transform platforms and experiences for our customers, accelerating our ability to modernise through AI and greater connectivity to partner platforms. This is a really exciting year to be able to lift the hood on some of these pioneering partners and learn what they have been able to achieve.”
