Tell us a little bit about HotelsDot. How was HotelsDot born?
Revenue management started being a thing 12-15 years ago, and only big companies could afford a professional revenue management team.
So, I realised that Independent hotels and small hotel chains were working without the idea of managing prices, or assessing occupancy, or looking at the market’s behaviour. They weren’t thinking about how to market your rooms to sell the highest number of rooms at the highest possible price.
Why is it important to use a channel manager?
If you own a hotel, or you work in one, and you’re thinking of getting a channel manager, you know that it’s a big investment in making your staff’s time more efficient when updating pricing.
In the world of connectivity between channels, and connectivity between your PMS and online channels, for those of us that are not used to IT, tools like these are certainly a relief.
